Clubs/Pubs/Lounges Spun At
My Bio

Clinton “Big Daddy C” Joseph got his first start in the music business when he was sixteen alongside longtime friend and business partner Kevin “DJ NItro” Oliver as part of NRG Music Entertainment, a successful mobile disc jockey company in his hometown of Ft. McMurray, Alberta.  He got his first taste of the club scene when he was eighteen, DJing at Truckers Nightclub which even to this day has been the best DJ Booth ever worked in*.

In 2000, he took a trip to Australia where had the opportunity to not only bring some Canadian flava to the Australian club scene (which is so wild that clubs don’t shut down until 7 am!) but also work alongside radio disc jockey Artie K on Kiss FM in Melbourne, Australia.

After moving to Calgary to pursue university degrees, NRG Music Entertainment was reborn in Southern Alberta which later became known as “Westbeat DJ Services” and currently operates under the banner “A Better Way DJ”.

All throughout that time he was learning more and more about the rules and regulations (SOCAN, AVLA), the associations and affiliations (CRIA, CDJA) and the relationship between Record Labels and DJs within the music industry.  This all while broadening his DJ skills by filling in at various clubs/pubs, sports announcing and djing for variety sports teams/events as well as growing a successful DJ and music promotions company all throughout the Southern Alberta scene.

As a member of the Canada DJs DJ Crew, he brought his unique style to the masses along side Canada’s hottest DJs such as Nitro, bigD and Resurrection (Rez) whom together took the Canadian DJ scene by storm.

He now operates as a freelance disc jockey continuing to pack dance floors at various clubs and pubs around the Calgary area,  helping make a multitude of businesses and events successful.
